5 of 5 Random Observations May 29, 2020

I bought 7' to make two window plugs. My window recesses were both 35" x 35.5" (nearly 3' x 3'). The foam was too flexible to stay in the window recesses by itself, so I ended up gluing thin plywood to the foam. I initially cut my foam pieces with too much extra foam -- the right amount ended up being about 1/2" or 3/4" extra in each dimension. The window plugs are working well for blocking sound. I also had a 32" x 16" basement window I wanted to block, but my leftover SoundAway Mat material wasn't big enough to do it with a single piece, so I simply wedged several smaller pieces into the window.

3 of 5 adhesive??? December 22, 2019

The description said it had adhesive on one side, but I do not see the adhesive.  How can I safely attach it in the engine compartment with an adhesive that will not burn?  Disappointed with that.  Shipping fees were also pretty high.

5 of 5 Extremely effective at blocking noise November 28, 2018

Just a quick note to tell you how extremely satisfied I am with your product and service.  The foam (2" SoundAway Mat) is extremely effective at blocking noise.  I would say definitely about 80%.  It also blocked the light!  I am very satisfied with your professional attention and speedy delivery were superlative.

3 of 5 Good material, bad for window with direct sunlight July 11, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Sandy, UT United States
I used this product as a window plug, after fitting this into the window frame it did a great job of reducing sound, however, be warned that this should NOT be used in a window that gets direct sunlight. The area between the foam and the window became so hot that it scorched/warped the vinyl window frame so badly that the entire window is going to have to be replaced. There really should be a warning about this in the description.

Solid product, as advertised. I should've ordered more at once to avoid paying twice for shipping.
