RSIC-1 Isolation Clip

Common for decoupling wall assemblies, the RSIC-1 isolation clip adds 15-20 STC points to any existing wall assembly and has a maximum load capacity of 36 lbs. per clip. This isolation clip is a great option for:

  • Soundproofing walls to isolate vibration or ceilings to reduce impact noise

  • Decoupling isolated walls from a room-within-a-room

RSIC Clips
For my project, a third-car garage was converted to a project studio. Sound Away did a great job of answering my questions by email and phone. They are very knowledgeable, and I felt at ease with how to approach isolating the room. The RSIC clips are heavy-duty and work exactly as expected with the hat channel and 2x5/8" drywall attached. I cannot say enough good things about Soundaway!!!
I started shopping for soundproofing over a year and a half ago. Found a lot of companies recommend MLV to be your medium for soundproofing in between the sheets of drywall. Ten thousands of dollars to build and soundproof a room downstairs, so I can actually play my drums!!! Been playing 40 years, and can function 100% without playing drums. 125-130db is loud! And expensive to use for that
