Acoustic products are designed to improve the listening experience in a room. This category of products treat sound reflected from walls, ceiling, floor, and other rigid surfaces. These sound reflections are commonly referred to as echoes or as reverberation. We have a broad selection of Acoustic Sonex Panels, Fabric Panels, Ceiling Tiles, Pyramids, Wedges, and many other foams to choose from. To select the right product requires an understanding of the application, source of the sound, room layout, and material properties. A visual representation of the sound waves bouncing around in a room are shown in the illustration above. The performance of acoustic foams, acoustic ceiling tiles, and acoustic materials, in general, is specified in terms of their Noise Reduction Class (NRC).

Barrier products are designed to block and reflect sound. Mass Loaded Vinyl, MLV, barrier is available in 1 lb/SF, 2 lb/SF density with or without a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing. Soundproofing a wall, floor, or ceiling typically involves adding mass to the surface. MLV increases the mass resulting in a decrease in sound.

Green Glue is an innovative new product offering unparallel performance at an affordable cost. Green Glue is a liquid, waterborne, viscoelastic material unique in its ability to lower the resonant frequency of a wall, ceiling, or floor assembly. Simply sandwich Green Glue between layers of sheetrock, Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), Oriented Strand Board (OSB), plywood, or a combination of these and other construction materials.
