SoundAway Sound Isolation Clips offer a highly effective method to significantly reduce structure borne sound at an affordable price.  Typically installed in a grid at a spacing not to exceed 24" along the length of the stud or joist and no more than 48" perpendicular to the stud or joist.

WhisperClip sound isolation RSIC-DC04
WhisperClip improves sound isolation by decoupling the surfaces of a room from the structure.  This is accomplished by attaching WhisperClips to framework and then fastening drywall (or other construction materials) to furring "hat" channel.  The resilience of the WhisperClip prevents mechanical vibration from transmitting throught the clip resulting in greatly improved sound isolation. RSIC-DC04 is commonly used to decouple wall assemblies.  The RSIC-DC04 may be used in either new construction or remodel.  Engineered to support either 1/4" thread rod or bolts.  Maximum load capacity per RSIC-DC04 is 36 pounds.

RSIC-DC04X2 is commonly used to decouple wall assemblies.  The RSIC-DC04X2 may be used in either new construction or remodel.  Engineered to support either 1/4" thread rod or bolts.  Maximum load capacity per RSIC-DC04X2 is 72 pounds.
RSIC-1 is commonly used to decouple wall assemblies.  The RSIC-1 adds 15 to 20 STC points to existing assemblies, based on independent lab results.  Maximum load capacity per RSIC-1 is 36  pounds.
   
 
Add SoundAway Barrier directly on the studs or joists before installing your Sound Isolation Clips.  Did you remember to include your Acoustical Caulk and sound barrier Seam Tape?
