WhisperClip improves sound isolation by decoupling the surfaces of a room from the structure. This is accomplished by attaching WhisperClips to framework and then fastening drywall (or other construction materials) to furring "hat" channel. The resilience of the WhisperClip prevents mechanical vibration from transmitting throught the clip resulting in greatly improved sound isolation.
